A recognized authority in residential interior design, Valerie Borden is a designer of renown. Rather than being known for a specific look, Valerie sees each project as an opportunity for innovation, avoiding tired formulas. Although her clients are diverse, there is consistent sensibility within her work—warmth, comfort, beauty, quality, and a sharp interest in functional and timeless design.

Valerie's passion for design developed during years spent collecting vintage clothing and period furniture. She gained a keen appreciation for detail and workmanship along with developing her personal style of refined eclecticism.

Valerie founded Chimera Interior Design in 1996 with the intention of bringing original design themes and five star services to a broad spectrum of clients. Today, her company has a large portfolio of completed projects from single room renovations to total home refurbishments around Phoenix, Scottsdale and Paradise Valley, Arizona as well as around the country.

Valerie's education and training taught her to truly listen to clients, exchange ideas, and anticipate her customers' every need. She works closely with architects, vendors, contractors and clients to manage a project from start to finish effectively, efficiently, on budget and schedule.

Valerie's creative work has been highlighted in numerous shelter publications, including Better Homes & Gardens, Phoenix Home & Garden, Design & Architecture and House & Style Magazine.

Chimera Interior Design accepts projects in Metro Phoenix, Scottsdale and Paradise Valley as well as many national locations.
